The letterpress workshop

is focused on both preserving the traditional and exploring the contemporary, through application and practice. At the heart of it is the upright, Jardine treadle-platen press, several assorted hand presses and Adanas, each of which has been restored from various states of disrepair. Added to this is a collection of metal and woodblock type, brass picture blocks and all manner of ornament and printed ephemera. All the work is produced by hand, in Bristol.
