Having just about recovered from Open Studios a couple of weeks ago, I’d like to extend a hearty thank you to all the people who came to visit P&E in what was our last Open Studios at Cockpit Arts.

It was great to see lots of regular visitors and new guests alike, plus it was a chance to show off some of our newly released products including these two prints:

Oh My Days

Nye Bevan – 70th Anniversary of the NHS

And some new greetings cards as well:

May You Defeat Your Enemies Swiftly

Lost For Words

All of which are available via on online shop now.

As mentioned above; after 12 years at Cockpit Arts, we are finally leaving for adventures new out West in the land of balloons and cider that is Bristol. At the end of July we’ll be packing up the presses, tidying the type and shifting it all to a new studio workshop at Estate Of The Arts in Bedminster. The new space will be a fair bit bigger and I’m working on all sorts of plans to develop it for a variety of purposes and expanding the range of services we offer as well as running more events and workshops in the future.

I’d like to say a huge thank you to Cockpit Arts for supporting the business right from the beginning when it was little more than a couple of Adana’s and a few trays of type, over 12 years as SORT and then the last year as my new venture Print & Ephemera. I’ve met a huge number of close friends and colleagues over the years as a result of being here and I’ll miss the sunny halls of the West Wing once it’s all packed up and gone.

I’ll be documenting the move as it happens but until then, stay in touch or come visit the new studio space in August!
